The journey of acceptance and healing takes time, space and understanding. The Lighthouse is such a space.
The experience of a “life-altering death” changes the entire family and will affect a child’s life from then onwards. We provide empathy, create trust, build courage and motivation.

As families struggle to cope with the aftermath of the death, each in their own way, the Lighthouse supports primarily the child and youth, who often feel powerless, angry and excluded following a close death. At the Lighthouse they can grieve and ask questions, find resources in themselves and through new friendships, so that the children adjust to their “new normal” and recover.
