Will all runners and walkers get medals?

We have ordered 500 medals for 5K runners and walkers. However in order to accommodate families and school run teams we now have nearly 600 participants.

Can I wear my headphones/iPod during the run

This is a trail run so you need to be aware of your environment and others. If you do wear ear-buds, please keep the volume low.

What is the route like?

The 5K run/walk route is through the scenic Sixteen Mile Creek Trail and includes a steep downhill near the end. It is therefore not suitable for baby joggers/running strollers and very young children. Please refer to the route map.

What is the charitable cause?

Since 1999, The Lighthouse for Grieving Children has provided a place where children, teens and their families grieving a death, feel safe to share their feelings with peers who understand. The Lighthouse support groups and services are provided free to our families for as long as they need help. We rely therefore on the generous contributions of our community to help us meet the ever increasing need for grief support.
